KEITH WATSON

Keith began his musical journey at the tender age of 6, teaching himself to play the piano. As a teenager, he expanded his repertoire by picking up the guitar. After mastering every Led Zeppelin note he could find, he transitioned into teaching music at just 17 years old. A few years later, drawn by the challenge, he decided to explore classical guitar, intrigued by the complexity it offered compared to his previous styles.

Keith successfully completed his studies at the Royal Conservatory, but his passion for music led him back to his roots in rock and roll, jazz, blues, folk, and contemporary styles. Throughout his journey, he diversified his skills by learning to play the bass, mandolin, ukulele, pedal steel guitar, and even the didgeridoo.

With over 40 years of teaching experience, Keith has developed a profound belief that “Learning has to be fun.”
