In-Home Lessons
Learn an instrument in the comfort of your own home - let us come to you!
Cornerstone at Home brings the music lesson experience right to your door. Whether you're looking for in-home guitar lessons, in-home drum lessons, or in-home piano lessons, our talented instructors provide high-quality, personalized instruction without the hassle of commuting.
In-home lessons are the ideal solution for busy families. If you're looking to save time, reduce scheduling conflicts, or simplify your weekly routine, having a music teacher come to your home offers the ultimate convenience. Parents can get things done around the house while students learn—and many find they feel more involved and better connected to their child’s musical journey.
Learning in a familiar space can help students feel more comfortable and focused. The consistency of the home environment often leads to better concentration and more relaxed learning—especially for younger children or students who thrive in one-on-one settings.
If you're looking for flexible, professional music lessons that fit seamlessly into your life, Cornerstone at Home might be the perfect fit for you.
How It Works
Getting started with Cornerstone at Home is simple!
-
Fill out the “Enroll Now – In-Home Lessons” form on our website.
-
Once we receive your information, a member of our Cornerstone admin team will reach out with a list of instructors available in your area.
-
The instructor will then contact you directly to arrange a time that works best for both of you.
That’s it - it’s that easy! You’ll be learning music in the comfort of your own home in no time.
Cornerstone In-Home Lesson Policy
To ensure the best possible experience for both students and teachers, please review the following policies:
Lesson Environment
-
Lessons must take place in a quiet, clean, and distraction-free environment.
-
A parent or guardian must be present in the home during the lesson.
Online Lesson Option
If a student is sick:
-
Lessons will be conducted online at the regular time.
-
Please work with your instructor to choose a video platform (Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, etc.) when lessons begin so you’re ready if a switch is needed.
Instructor Cancellations
-
If your instructor must cancel, a substitute teacher may be provided or the lesson will be rescheduled.
-
In rare cases when a lesson can’t be made up, a refund may be issued.
Communication
-
Regular check-ins between parents and instructors are encouraged. Instructors will share updates before or after lessons as needed.
-
Please direct questions or concerns to our admin team at lessons@cornerstonemusic.ca.
Withdrawal Policy
-
Lessons run from September to June.
-
We require 1 month’s written notice to cancel. You will be billed for 4 weeks from the date we receive notice.
-
After May 1, no cancellations or refunds will be accepted for the remainder of the school year.
-
Send all withdrawal notices to: lessons@cornerstonemusic.ca
Billing & Payment
-
Payments are due monthly, on the last day of the current month for the following month (e.g., August 31 for September).
-
Automatic billing can be set up by credit card through MyMusicStaff.
-
Invoices not paid within 30 days incur a 10% late fee.
-
Accounts more than 45 days overdue may lose their reserved lesson spot.
Please notify us if you’re unable to attend a scheduled lesson—even a quick call or text is better than a no-show!
Health & Wellness
-
If a student or teacher feels unwell, please switch to online lessons rather than cancelling.
-
Avoid in-person lessons if experiencing flu or cold symptoms beyond normal allergies or chronic conditions.
-
Give as much notice as possible when switching to online to avoid confusion.
We’re committed to providing a flexible, personalized, and professional in-home learning experience. Let us help you make music, right where you live.
