SWETA BABLADI
FLUTE
Sweta Babladi is a Calgary-born flautist, singer and teacher who is currently completing her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance at the University of Calgary under Dr. Lucie Jones. She performs with the MRU Conservatory’s Calgary Youth Orchestra, the University of Calgary Orchestra, and the U of C Wind Ensemble.
Sweta is an avid chamber musician who has performed with the Calgary Chamber Flutes and is featured in collaborative concerts with the Calgary Public Library and the Alberta Ballet School as a member of the Young Professional Musicians Collective. She is a founding member of the recently-established Seraphina Flute Quartet, who have performed at numerous community and fundraising events. As a member of Calgary Pro Musica’s 2025-2026 Young Artist’s Development Program, Sweta served as an ambassador for Calgary Pro Musica, had masterclasses with international chamber musicians, and worked to create school concerts that captivated young audiences.
Beyond the stage, Sweta is a music educator who teaches flute and beginner piano. She believes that music is essential to the cultural life of Calgary, and emphasizes the importance of being involved in the arts for the individual and collective benefit. She aims to help her students develop confidence, musicality, and a lifelong appreciation for music in all of its diverse forms and genres.
