NICHOLE THOMAS
VIOLIN
Nichole is a dedicated and passionate violin teacher with over 10 years of formal training through the Royal Conservatory of Music, where she completed her Grade 8 Violin Practical and Theory. She began playing violin at the age of 6 and has continued to develop her skills through over a decade of dedicated study. She is currently studying at Mount Royal University while continuing to grow her experience as both a performer and educator.
Nichole believes that music plays an important role in building confidence, discipline, and creativity in students. In her lessons, she focuses on creating a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace while developing strong foundational skills. Her teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable to each student’s individual needs and goals.
As an active performer, Nichole plays violin with the band Malabar Squad, performing for large audiences at community events. She has also performed for senior residences and participated in ensembles, bringing a wide range of musical experience into her teaching. Nichole has received recognition in competitions, including earning First Place in the Central Singing Competition, and has benefited from mentorship opportunities with professional musicians.
In addition to her musical background, Nichole has extensive experience working with children through volunteer and community programs. She is committed to helping students not only grow as musicians, but also build confidence and a lifelong appreciation for music in a fun and engaging way.
