VAUGHAN XAVIER

Vaughan Xavier is a professional touring and session drummer born and raised in Calgary,

Alberta, Canada. 

Playing a wide range of genres including Rock, Pop, Country, Singer-Songwriter, and more,  Vaughan’s music-first approach to the drums sees him wearing a handful of different hats behind the instrument, carefully choosing sounds and crafting parts to help serve musical ideas.Vaughan’s playing has landed him on stages with the likes of Our Lady Peace, Trooper, Headstones, Default, and The Free Label, and he continues to perform and record with a variety of Calgary-based bands and artists.

Vaughan’s musical-first approach extends into how he teaches as well, with a focus on helping students unlock their own unique voice on the instrument. Vaughan’s goal is to teach the required techniques and knowledge for students to not only play their favourite music, but create and collaborate with others as well.
