Cornerstone Music Cafe is proud to once again take part in the YYC Hot Chocolate Fest, a citywide celebration of creativity, chocolate, and local business across Calgary.

Participating in the YYC Hot Chocolate Fest gives us the opportunity to share what we care about most: creativity and community. If you’re exploring Calgary’s best hot chocolate lineup this season, we hope you include Cornerstone Music Cafe on your list.

For us, hot chocolate has never been just a seasonal novelty. We craft a version all year-round using real, high-quality Mayan chocolate. Over the years, we’ve been honoured to receive Best Hot Chocolate awards in 2014 and again in 2022 with “I Want S’more.” Our goal has always been to offer Calgary a hot chocolate experience that’s rich, satisfying, and made with care by our talented barista team.

This year’s YYC Hot Chocolate Fest entry focuses on doing one thing exceptionally well. In a time when everything feels chaotic, we chose to create something familiar and comforting. Our hot chocolate – Simply The Best - is rich, creamy, and deeply chocolate-forward. Each cup is prepared with carefully selected ingredients and finished with a handcrafted marshmallow.

Ingredients include milk, cream, bittersweet chocolate, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, Dutch cocoa, molasses, and a homemade marshmallow. The result is a classic, straightforward hot chocolate with deep cocoa flavour - satisfying, sweet, and comforting. (Hey grown ups… add a splash of Bailey’s if the mood strikes. We are licensed.)

But Cornerstone Music Cafe is more than a place to grab great hot chocolate. We’re also a community-focused performance space offering music and art lessons for all ages and skill levels, along with regular live music that showcases local talent, weekly jams, and creative workshops. We also serve a variety of baked goods, treats, and food, including gluten-free and vegan options so everyone can find something to enjoy.

Whether you’re stopping in for a drink, attending a live show, or taking a weekly lesson, our goal is always the same: to provide a welcoming environment where everyone can connect over great drinks, great food, and great music.
