Emily Bolhuis

.

Emily hails from Mineville, Nova Scotia, where she began her musical endeavors at the age of four, singing in her church Choir.  Hearing Beautiful accompaniments at church inspired her to beg her mother for piano lessons which she got at the age of nine (Thanks mom).  Singing, playing the piano and even a little trombone and French horn in high school, led her to a bachelor of music Degree in Voice performance from Dalhousie University.  Emily caught the opera bug and flew to Toronto to do the Artist Diploma in Voice performance at the University of Toronto. She has been teaching Piano since she was in grade twelve and started teaching voice in her third year of University. For Emily, teaching and performing have enriched her personally and musically and she hopes to inspire all of her students to experience the joy of learning Music.
